Software Update

In helping to further optimise the efficiency and performance of our software, we are pleased to announce the release of Citect Anywhere 1.1* - June 22nd 2017.

 

This release builds on our previous version of the software, with specific updates to the below functionalities and vulnerabilities:

  • Security – updates to specific security vulnerabilities affecting Citect Anywhere and peer SSL Certificate as detailed in the full Security Notification update here.
  • User groups – enhancements to Citect Anywhere VjcaControl and VjcaView groups, now allowing the addition of domain user groups
  • Installation – improvements to the install location of Citect SCADA when multiple Schneider Electric applications are installed.
  • Floating License – now supporting Schneider Electric Floating License Manager version 1.9.10.

 

 

*Please note, if you are upgrading from Citect Anywhere v1.0 to v1.1, a license upgrade is not required, however we recommend that you refer to the Software Installation & Configuration Guide for Citect Anywhere Server and Secure Gateway.

This release builds on our previous version of the software, with specific updates to:

  • Alarm System
    • Enhancements to AlarmSetInfo when attempting to index beyond the end of the client cache
    • Improvements to AlarmEventQueue with regard to event queue settings and missed alarms
  • Cicode
    • FormPosition now respecting X and Y Cicode function arguments
  • CTAPI
    • Enhancements to schema import s into Historian and identification of loading a tag table's schema
  • IO Server
    • Improvements to Setting Processor Affinity exceptions for systems with more than 64 cores
  • Process Analyst
    • Correct rounding for values to the nearest whole integer in all cases

*Please note, in Citect SCADA 2016 the term ‘Update’ replaces the former ‘Patch’ release terminology similarly referring to the availability of the latest version of the software, comprising a consolidation of all prior enhancements and updates following the product’s initial release.

In helping to further improve the efficiency and flexibility of our software we are pleased to announce the release of an enhanced S7TCP (v 1.10.00.000) driver for Citect SCADA.

This release builds on our February 2017 S7TCP driver release and adds to our extensive repository of over 150 individual drivers specific to more than 80 manufacturers, offering enhanced integration opportunities for our customers.

 

Specific functionality included in this driver release includes:

  • Support for S7-1500 controllers running firmware versions up to 2.0.1

For more specifics on the S7TCP (v 1.10.00.000) driver release, please read the full release notes full release notes. Please note as a licensed driver, customers who have already purchased S7TCP will be able to run the driver. New customers will need to purchase S7TCP in order to install the driver.

    • Revisions to timestamped alarms acknowledgement, when triggered from analog tags

    • Increase in maximum number of include projects

    • Improvements when reconnecting to a client process via CtAPI.
